The primary material is an organic protein that has been processed to eliminate naturally occurring waxes and gums. This ensures a more uniform and predictable handling profile during surgical procedures.

The suture is coated with a proprietary wax mixture that enhances pliability and lubricity, contributing to smoother passage through tissue.
